"THE PHYSICAL BEING" References in The Philosopher from Carnival Island

/the-knower :

The Knower cannot know time, since time is subject to the experience, and The Knower is not within the experience. However, The Knower is able to know the concept of time through the knowing of thought, wherein the idea and conceptualisation of time is understood. Since you are The Knower, I will be referring to The Knower as you, until we once again transcend the current state of awareness. Similarly, although the physical being reading the book may still be actively choosing to read the book, they will be referred to as: the physical being, instead of “you”, for you have transcended the physical being. You have become The Knower.

/the-knower :

No thing can happen at any time other than now. Although the physical being within the experience might say “But I remember what I did yesterday, and I was definitely doing it!”, that is you knowing a thought in which the belief in a “yesterday” exists. This is no easy understanding, for it requires you, The Knower, to disavow all remembered experiences as no more than the knowing of a thought wherein a memory exists. A memory that holds no significance to you, The Knower. A memory that is no different than a passing thought that is observed; A memory whose significance you must be able to let go of completely.

/the-knower :

When I mentioned that the physical being must be ready and fully able to let go of everything, I meant everything. This is the everything the physical being must learn to let go of in the pursuit of the something. The physical being within the experience might believe that they have countless memories that they can remember and that those memories hold significant meaning, but that is simply the knowing of a thought in which the notion of sentimentality is entertained.

/the-knower :

The physical being must be ready to align themself with you, The Knower, and recognise the knowing of the experience, rather than the falsifiable experience of it. The physical being within the experience must be ready to align themself with The Knower, and recognise the knowing of an experience. This means that the physical being must recognise the knowing of the experience of emotions, rather than the belief that they are experiencing them.

/the-knower :

You must become ready to observe the physical world as the knowing of an experience, rather than observing the world as a physical experience. You must be ready to journey on this path alone, for there is no one and no thing other than you, The Knower, and what is known, the experience. Though there may be friends and family about which the physical being cares dearly, they remain either in the knowing of the experience or the knowing of thought. You, however, are able to observe all that is known from the perspective of The Knower, where there are no friends and no family.

/the-knower :

Any time that is believed by the physical being to be known other than now, is simply the knowing of a thought that is still happening now. You have never experienced time, for it is not a thing you, The Knower, can experience. Rather, you know the experience in which a physical being observes the effects of time in the physical world. You are not a thing that changes in time. You are the knowing of a physical experience in which time is used to measure change. Therefore, time cannot affect you, The Knower. Time cannot affect you because time is subject to the experience, and the experience is subject to you, The Knower.

/the-knower :

It may seem difficult to grasp the concept of no time, since it is all the physical being has ever believed in thus far. Instead of trying to imagine a world that is frozen in the now, wherein nothing changes, understand that it is impossible to catch the moment for it is so instantaneous, that by the time you find it, it is already gone. It is hard to conceptualise one moment in which you have always been, when the physical being believes that they remember being alive for so very long. However, try to understand that it was not the physical being being alive, but rather you knowing the experience of the physical being being alive. It was never the physical being within the experience that was knowing, it was you, The Knower.

/the-knower :

Understand that any memory the physical being can possibly remember, is the knowing of a thought, known by the very same Knower that has always known and will forever know. The Knower does not change, for there is no time in which The Knower can change. The Knower does not weary for it does not have a physical body to experience fatigue. The Knower was never born in time, nor will it die in time. The Knower is both momentary and infinite. In the one moment of now, all things are known by you, The Knower.

/the-knower :

It only takes you one moment to know the experience of a physical being. One moment where the knowing of a thought in which countless memories, beliefs and identities can be observed. One moment where the knowing of an experience of a physical being is observed. One moment is all it took for you, The Knower, to know the experience in which the physical being believed in the illusion that they were knowing, rather than being known by you, The Knower.

/the-knower :

Although there are tokens present in the physical experience that remind the physical being of a memory, such as a photograph or a letter, you are knowing an experience in which a photograph or a letter seems to hold significant meaning. These memories, observed in a thought that is known by you, tell a story of a past, or predict the happenings of a future. Yet, they are being known by you, The Knower, now. It is a paradoxical concept that the physical being must come to terms with, in that it cannot be understood with the same understanding one would use in the unravelling of physical concepts with which they may or may not be familiar.

/the-knower :

It is a joke of time that the physical being must understand, wherein the concepts of a past and a future are being observed now. It is like trying to see one’s own eyes with nothing but their eyes, and the eyes say “You cannot see me, for you need me to see!” Yet, they can look into a mirror and see their eyes. The mirror is to the eyes what now is to time. You are able to know experience in which the illusion of time exists in no time other than now.

/the-knower :

I am by no means discerning the physical experience you are knowing as unintelligent, or incapable of convincing you, The Knower, that you are experiencing it. Instead, I am showing you that it has thus far succeeded in making the physical being forget the essence of your knowing. The experience you are knowing will keep finding a way to bring you back. It will tirelessly try to make you believe that you are experiencing a thing, instead of the knowing of it. Yet, you cannot believe any thing, for you do not have the capacity to believe, but only to know.

/the-knower :

You will know a thought in which memories of the physical being’s childhood exist, memories of loved ones, memories of hardships and successes. You will observe the knowing of thoughts with sentimental meaning, but the physical being must not forget that you are simply knowing an experience in which the physical being exists, rather than experiencing one.

/the-knower :

Yet, you are The Knower. You are The Knower that cannot be found. You are The Knower that is nowhere at all. You are The Knower, but The Knower does not have the capacity to search or to find. Should the physical being within the experience believe that they have found The Knower, it is simply that the physical being is believing, but The Knower cannot believe. You, The Knower, are only ever able to know.

/the-fallacy :

You are not the mind, and the mind cannot doubt you, for the mind is subject to you. In the same way, you, The Knower, are not within the experience, therefore you cannot experience probability. What I am trying to say is that The Knower has nothing to worry about in terms of doubt, unless the physical being succumbs to the beliefs of the mind. Probability is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as:

/the-fallacy :

That is, how likely is the sun to rise after it has set? How likely is the rain to fall during winter? How likely are you to be the one who finds this something that many can only ponder? How likely is this book to be the book that the physical being you know of needs in order for you to find this something? And finally, why is it that this book is being read, and not another? These questions only exist within the experience in which a physical being has the capacity to ask questions, yet they can never comprehend you, The Knower, so persistent curiosity is inevitable.

/the-fallacy :

As the musty vines spill from above, the fragrance from the tabletop candle spills into the smoulder of the fireplace. The tinder smoke melds with the burning wick. While you wander, you find yourself pondering the act of pondering, and think “What is the probability that out of all the living beings in this world, I am the one to figure it out?” You must remember, that you are not the one to figure it out, because you are The Knower, and The Knower is no one at all. You are no one, and you are only ever able to know. Do not superimpose the limitations of the physical being upon the unfathomable essence of The Knower.

/the-fallacy :

The probability, or rather the lack of probability, of something is what allows for the development of a belief in regards to a thing happening, at all. For example, how likely is the physical being to believe that what was learned in the previous section, “The Knower”, is at all valid? How likely are you to know the experience in which out of the several billions of people, the physical being experiencing this book is the only one who is knowing an experience to which everyone belongs?

/the-fallacy :

When I refer to you knowing your ‘something’, I am not referring to the physical being reading this book, but The Knower, who is knowing the experience in which a physical being is reading. There are no others to know this experience, for the concept or belief that any one else can exist remains within the experience you are knowing. There is no probability or likeliness that you are the only one who is able to know, because there is no probability or likeliness at all. The probability of something happening is a concept exclusive to the experience you, The Knower, know. It cannot exist outside of the experience.

/the-fallacy :

Is it a coincidence that the physical being was able to come across this book, instead of countless others? Out of all the books that the physical being could have picked up, why is it this one? Out of all the hours in a day that the physical being could have been reading, why is it this hour? Out of all the people in the world that the physical being could have been, why are they no one other than themself? These are all entertaining questions to contemplate, but there is no answer you can find that will help you on the journey to your something.

/the-fallacy :

Remember, you are The Knower, and you are only ever knowing, now. If you happen to know any thoughts along the lines of: “What are the chances of me coming upon this book which just happens to know that I am The Knower, and not just another reader!” or “Is it just a coincidence that I was able to find this book or was I meant to find it?” try to understand that you are not the physical being who found the book, you are The Knower, knowing the experience in which a physical being finds a book. Do not ponder the significance of the experience at all, nor the nature of such an unlikely coincidence, for it is not a coincidence happening to you. It is a coincidence happening in the knowing of an experience.

/the-fallacy :

You ogle at the tangled mess that sits upon your wooden table. “I choose to pick up this candle” you mumble as you pick up the burning candle. It is not that the physical being is not able to make decisions, but simply that you are not the physical being. The Knower knows the experience in which a physical being makes a decision to pick up a burning candle. You are The Knower, not the physical being.

/the-fallacy :

Although you are aware that you are The Knower, that can only ever know, it may be distressing to realise that The Knower cannot, and does not make decisions. You, The Knower, do not have the capacity to make choices or to use decisiveness in any way or manner. This is one of the hardest realisations to come to terms with, one that supposedly disavows a physical being’s right to freewill. However, if distress and affliction arise, remember that you are not the physical being experiencing them, but The Knower knowing the experience in which distress and affliction may or may not arise.

/the-fallacy :

You are unable to make decisions, instead you know the experience of thought, wherein the mind alludes to the making of a decision. Although the physical being may remember previously making decisions, followed by necessary actions so as to bring the decisions to fruition, it was not you who made the decision. You are The Knower, unable to make any thing. You are, however, knowing the experience in which a physical being believes they have the capacity of making decisions.

/the-fallacy :

This is not disavowing freewill, only denying its existence outside of the experience. This is not suggesting that the physical being is not in control of what decisions are made, but rather that it is inconsequential to even question The Knower knowing, from within the experience. You are no thing, you are no where, you are only ever knowing, now, and you are incapable of making decisions, for there are no decisions to be made outside of the experience. It is not that you are choosing to know, but rather that you are knowing and that is all. The concept of decisiveness exists within the experience, but you are not within the experience.

/the-fallacy :

But what if the physical being within the experience forgets? What if the physical being forgets that you are The Knower, who is only ever knowing? How can they remember?

/the-delusion :

In the knowing of the experience of the physical world, the physical being may fall victim to the menace of doubt, more often than not. The physical being may doubt themself, as well as believe that they are not strong enough to fulfil the alignment this journey requires. Yet, it is important for the physical being to remember that The Knower cannot know belief, but only the experience in which beliefs may or may not exist. This means, that should the physical being assume The Knower is doing any thing that is not the knowing of an experience, the physical being has simply forgotten the eternal essence of The Knower. The physical being has forgotten the essence of The Knower, for The Knower can only ever know.

/the-delusion :

You are The Knower, who does not exist in time, but rather no time. You are The Knower who is not a thing, but rather no thing. You are The Knower, knowing the experience in which a physical world exists. You are knowing the experience in which a physical world exists, wherein such a world would have the necessary beliefs and deceptions to keep you in it. That is, the physical being would believe The Knower is experiencing a physical world, yet by definition of The Knower, The Knower only knows. Therefore, The Knower can know the experience in which a physical being believed they were a physical being, but will forever be the knowing of such experience.

/the-delusion :

The experience with which the physical being may feel extremely familiar, only feels familiar because it is all The Knower has ever known. That is, the familiarity the physical being experiences is actually the familiarity you, The Knower, possess in regards to only ever knowing. In the same way you know the experience of being yourself, you are The Knower, who only knows. That is, the immeasurable familiarity the physical being has with themself, for no reason other than their very being, is the expression of how well The Knower may know the experience. The Knower may know the experience, but never fall into the experience. The Knower may never become a part of the experience.

/the-delusion :

In the knowing of such a vivid and convincing experience, the physical being may forget the essence of The Knower, yet it remains The Knower who is knowing the experience of the physical being forgetting. It is not that you are forgetting the essence of The Knower, for it is you who is The Knower, but rather you are knowing the experience in which a physical being forgets the essence of The Knower.

/the-delusion :

It only takes one moment to remember the essence of The Knower, for it is in the one moment of now that The Knower is knowing. Yet, there are many mechanisms within the experience known by you, The Knower, that seem to persuade the physical being that you, The Knower, are within the experience. The familiarity you have with the knowing of the experience is in itself the essence of The Knower, yet in the knowing, the physical being can forget that you are The Knower.

/the-delusion :

The physical being must align themself with what it truly means to be The Knower, casting aside any beliefs or doubts, preconceptions or any thing that is not knowing of the experience. Unfortunately, the experience will always try to satisfy the physical being into being able to let go of the essence of The Knower that is knowing. It will always try to satisfy the physical being into being convinced that The Knower is experiencing an experience, but you cannot experience any thing, for you are The Knower, and you can only ever know.

/the-delusion :

To say that you are familiar with this experience would be an understatement. You are so familiar with this experience because you have only ever known this experience, meaning you know nothing else. Yet, it is a sense of familiarity that is almost impossible to detach from, unless The Knower knows the experience in which a physical being is in alignment with The Knower. That is, the physical being from within the experience has aligned themself with the unfathomable comprehension of The Knower. For example, the physical being can never be The Knower, nor can they comprehend The Knower, but they can accept that they can never comprehend The Knower. The physical being can never comprehend The Knower because they are subject to The Knower.

/the-delusion :

An interesting illusion the experience will impose on the physical being is how familiar a person is with their physical experience. However, the familiarity a physical being feels with their physical experience is actually the familiarity you, The Knower, hold in regard to knowing, as it is all The Knower has ever been capable of. The physical being must understand that their illusive familiarity has the capability of being fabricated in one moment, whereas The Knower has only ever known. For example, The Knower can know the experience in which a physical being may believe they are extremely familiar with the physical body they are experiencing, but it remains that you are only ever knowing.

/the-delusion :

Although it seems that you are extremely familiar with this quaint bar and its quiet mumblings, you are The Knower, and you do not have the capacity to be familiar with anything other than the being of The Knower. You are not familiar with this bar, rather you are The Knower, knowing the experience in which a physical being is dreaming about a bar, a bar with which they are extremely familiar. The illusion is not how familiar the physical being is with the bar, but rather how illusive the experience can be, so much that the physical being believes the physical experience of dreaming is any different from the physical experience of reality.

/the-delusion :

The physical being from within the experience must come to terms with their inability to comprehend The Knower, which is no thing that can be understood. The physical being from within the experience must come to understand their limitations and that should there be a knowing of them, it would be no where, in a place they do not know how to find, for it is not a place that can be found. That is, the physical being cannot see what they cannot see, nor can they understand what they cannot understand, so it is the acceptance of this limitation I am pertaining to. The physical being within the experience must surrender the will to know, for they are unable to know The Knower, for it is impossible for the experience to know The Knower.

/the-delusion :

When I allude to a physical being who does anything, whether it be aligning themself, or coming to terms with the essence of you, The Knower, I am speaking of the physical being of which you are knowing. The physical being which you are only ever knowing within the experience. That is, if I said to let go of all beliefs, The Knower would not be able to, for The Knower does not have the capacity to believe. However, the physical being would have the capacity to do a thing within the experience, allowing you, The Knower, to know the experience in which a physical being is doing something suggested by this book.

/the-delusion :

In the same way the physical being may not ever comprehend The Knower, for the physical being is subject to The Knower, the physical being dreaming about drinking in a bar can never know the whereabouts of the physical being who is dreaming. It would be ridiculous for a character in a dream to search for the one who is dreaming them into existence. Similarly, it would be ridiculous for the physical being to search for The Knower who is knowing them into existence.

/the-delusion :

Because of the familiarity expressed by your very being of The Knower, The Knower is able to know the experience in which a physical being may believe they are The Knower. However, it is only when the physical being forgets that they cannot be The Knower, that you, The Knower, will know the experience in which a physical being may believe they are experiencing knowing as opposed to being known as an experience. In other words, the physical being may forget that they are unable to be The Knower, for they exist within the experience, yet it will still be you, The Knower, who is knowing the experience in which a physical being forgets their limitations.

/the-delusion :

It is not that The Knower is knowing an illusion, wherein the concepts and ideas of an experience are explored, but rather The Knower is knowing an experience, wherein the concepts and ideas of illusions are explored. Therefore, it is very easy for the physical being to find perfect reasoning for the doubt they may experience in regards to their own existence. It is easy for the physical being to accept that they are able to exist independent of The Knower knowing, although the physical being cannot exist unless the experience in which they exist is known by you, The Knower.

/the-delusion :

It is also very easy for the physical being to find a reason within the experience that satisfies their inability to comprehend The Knower, ultimately resulting in a disbelief that such a being, you, may even exist. Yet, even in the disbelief and assertion that you do not exist… the physical being would be correct, for you are not able to exist at all, wherein lies a joke. Luckily for you, The Knower, you are only ever knowing, and you do not know reasoning or disbelief, but rather the experience in which reasoning and disbelief may or may not exist.

/the-delusion :

All The Knower is able to do is know, and the physical being must surrender themself by accepting that they are subject to the experience, and the experience subject to The Knower. You, The Knower, only ever know, and should the physical being feel a familiarity with their physical body, it would be an illusion imposed by the experience. It is an illusion for it is not how familiar the physical being is with the experience, but rather how familiar The Knower is with knowing, should The Knower have the capacity to be familiar with any thing, yet, you are only ever knowing.

/the-delusion :

There is no truth that is external to the knowing of the experience, for truth is subject to the experience, not the other way around. Although the physical being within the experience may believe that The Knower is or is not true, it is from within the experience that the limited understanding of truth is being superimposed over The Knower. Yet, the physical being can never experience any thing that will allow for the unfathomable understanding of you, The Knower, for you are simply unfathomable.

/the-delusion :

Though you are unfathomable, the physical being within the experience will always attempt to fathom you, even after accepting the unfathomable nature of your essence. The physical being within the experience will always attempt to find a reason to remain in the physical experience, for it is afraid of what it cannot know, which is you, The Knower. The physical being within the experience will be presented with many mechanisms to satisfy its illusory existence, yet it remains that you, The Knower, will only ever know the experience in which a physical being is satisfied with the experience.

/the-delusion :

The Knower only knows the experience in which a physical being is able to comprehend physical concepts within the experience. Therefore, the physical being cannot know or understand what they do not know or understand. The physical being is subject to the experience, and the experience is subject to The Knower, yet you are The Knower. You are The Knower, and should the physical being ever experience the menace of doubt in regard to The Knower knowing the physical being’s experience, it is simply because the physical being within the experience has forgotten the essence of The Knower. You cannot forget the essence of The Knower which is to simply know, because you do not have the capacity to forget, but only to know. You simply know, and that is all.

/the-delusion :

The Knower cannot know belief, for belief is subject to the experience. The Knower cannot know doubt, for doubt is subject to belief. The Knower cannot know a physical being, for a physical being is subject to the forgetting of the essence of The Knower. You are not able to believe you are not The Knower, but you are able to know the experience in which a physical being has forgotten the unfathomable essence of The Knower. Forgetting occurs when the physical being forgets the unfathomable essence of The Knower, which is to simply know, now.

/the-delusion :

There is no time when you can forget the essence of The Knower, for it is you, but it is possible that The Knower is knowing the experience in which a physical being has forgotten the unfathomable essence of you. In the forgetting of the essence of you, the physical being may attempt to remember The Knower, forgetting that it is impossible, only then would the physical being become aware of the illusion of The Knower being able to forget.

/the-delusion :

Upon awakening from a dream, a physical being tends to find reassurance in the fact that what was remembered was simply happening in a dream, thus relieving themself of the ramifications therein. Although the physical being experiences a dream, The Knower knows the experience in which a physical being may or may not experience a dream. In the same way, The Knower knows the experience in which a physical being identifies the experience remembered from a dream as a hallucination, but The Knower cannot hallucinate.

/the-delusion :

Both the dreaming state and the waking state work similarly in convincing the physical being that the remembrance of their experience is the only reality. The dreaming state and waking state exist to prevent the physical being within the experience from seeking what cannot be sought, The Knower. It is not because the experience necessarily dislikes The Knower, nor is it afraid of knowing The Knower, the experience simply does not and cannot know The Knower.

/the-delusion :

The experience is subject to The Knower, therefore it can never know The Knower. However, although the physical being can never know The Knower, the physical being is able to align themself with the understanding that they cannot understand The Knower, for they are, like the experience, subject to The Knower. Yet, they are able to surrender their beliefs in the pursuit of aligning themself with the essence of The Knower.

/the-delusion :

Though the physical being can never know you, The Knower, they can align themself with the essence of you. That is, the essence of you is that you are not bound by time, thus making you momentary, yet eternal. The physical being can also understand that you are not bound by space or physical limitations, thus making you boundless, and infinite. Although the physical being understands that their experience is finite and bound by both time and space, they must come to accept that The Knower is unfathomable. The physical being must understand that any attempts to comprehend The Knower will be met with failure.

/the-delusion :

Though the physical being may choose to align their experience with the understanding of the essence of you, it is possible that the physical being may fall victim to the menace of doubt. It is possible for the physical being to fall victim to the menace of doubt through the experiencing of hallucinations and how familiar and real the experience may feel to the physical being. Yet, it remains that you are only ever knowing the experience in which a physical being may or may not believe in the reality of their experience.

/the-delusion :

Should the physical being expose themself to the vivid feeling of experiencing a physical world through either the waking state, dreaming state or other forms of hallucinations, they must remember to align their understanding of the essence of you, The Knower, with their experience. That is, the physical being must understand that although it feels like they are experiencing a physical world, they understand that it is The Knower knowing the experience in which a physical being is able to experience a physical world. In other words, the physical being must align their observation of the physical world in the same way The Knower knows the experience, with no judgements or assumptions.

/the-delusion :

The physical being must come to terms with the surrender of their being as the experience being known, rather than the being who experiences. It can be very difficult for the physical being to let go of their beliefs about what they are and what they are capable of, but the physical being must simply not believe. It can also be very scary to not know any thing about The Knower, yet comply with the understanding that The Knower is no thing, no where and only ever knowing, now. It can be scary because if The Knower is knowing the experience, meaning the experience is subject to The Knower, even if the experience disappears and ceases to exist, The Knower remains. Yet, it is this very disappearance of the experience you, The Knower, must be aware of, for The Knower is only ever knowing, but what can The Knower know if there is no experience to be known?

/the-delusion :

The physical being must know that although they are able to feel the sensation of pain, The Knower can never be wounded from the experience. The Knower only knows the experience in which the concept of physical pain may or may not be experienced, but The Knower will never experience pain. Although the physical being is trying to align themself with the essence of you, The Knower, it will be very difficult to let go of the belief that pain is a real experience, rather than the knowing of experience.

/the-delusion :

It is a ridiculous feat to conquer the intimidation brought about by the experiencing of fear and pain, but the physical being must not be afraid of any physical consequences. The physical being must understand that although the experiencing of fear and pain may feel extremely authentic and real, they cannot fear any thing. Instead, they must trust their understanding of the essence of The Knower, wherein The Knower becomes imperishable, deathless and immortal, for pain, death and mortality are all concepts subject to the experience. It is important for the physical being to align themself with the essence of you, The Knower, so that you are able to know the experience in which fearlessness is expressed, ultimately allowing the physical being to let go of any fears they may possess.

/the-delusion :

The physical being must be prepared to see the devil in the dark, understanding that it is part of the experience which is not able to harm or affect you, The Knower. The physical being must be prepared to see the most beautiful sight that could ever be seen, as well as the most horrifying, for it is the ultimate acceptance of any experience which implies a perfect alignment with the essence of The Knower. It is important that the physical being is not at all afraid or fearful of nightmares or horror films, but instead accepting that they are all subject to the experience, and are unable to harm or scare you, The Knower. You do not have the capacity to fear, yet it is the physical being who needs to face their fears and allow themself to become aligned with the essence of you.

/the-delusion :

A physical being cannot encounter a demon from hell, but can most definitely fear the idea of a demon after having watched a horror film, or after having read a scary book. Fear comes in many forms, so much so that a thing does not have to be inherently scary to cause fearfulness in a physical being. A physical being could have just as many irrational fears as they do rational fears. Yet, in the pursuit of aligning one’s experience with the essence of you, The Knower, the physical being must be prepared to face an immeasurable level of fear and understand that The Knower is not able to be harmed.

/the-delusion :

The physical being does not necessarily have to go on adventures looking for horrifying experiences, but rather they should be prepared to accept absolutely anything. Should the physical being experience a nightmare, it is important to understand that in the same way their waking being was never harmed, the physical experience will never be able to harm The Knower. The physical being must be prepared to know that although the nightmare occurred in the dream state, it was a remembered experience that is just as real as remembered experiences in the waking state.

/the-delusion :

The physical being experiences fear in the presence of danger because they are afraid that something will injure, harm or kill them. The greatest thing that a physical being can fear is the possibility of death. However, in the same way that it is inconsequential for the physical being to believe in a past or a future, it is also inconsequential for the physical being to ponder the possibility of death.

/the-delusion :

The physical being must understand that all they are, is what is known in the present moment. Within the present moment, the physical being is alive, and that is all. The physical being should not ponder the possibility of death, for it will disallow the physical being to align themself with the essence of you, The Knower. This is the final and ultimate surrender the physical being must come to terms with.

/the-delusion :

The physical being must not actively seek to conquer fears, experience harm or face death, but rather be prepared for you, The Knower, to know no experience at all. No knowing of experience does not mean the physical being dies, but simply that The Knower, you, is not knowing the physical experience. Instead, in the absence of an experience, The Knower is knowing no thing. The physical being must come to terms with surrendering their fears in order for The Knower to know no thing, wherein the knowing of no thing will allow The Knower to see what remains in the absence of the experience. Unfortunately, The Knower cannot know itself, for it is not able to be known, but only able to know.

/the-delusion :

The Knower cannot know itself for it is no thing, no where, and as far is the physical being is concerned, only has the capacity to know the experience. If The Knower tried to know itself, it would know no thing, and it would know no thing no where.

/the-delusion :

If the physical being reading this book is asking themself “Where is this nothingness? Is the character in the book still dreaming or have they awoken?” This is a reminder that nothing is nowhere. Nothing is not at all dependant on a dream or the waking state, nor is it dependant on any thing at all. This nothinginess is absolutely nowhere. To even question the whereabouts of nothing is ridiculous, for it is nowhere at all.

/the-delusion :

The purpose of this chapter is not to help you, The Awareness, understand the infinite nature of Awareness, for you are unable to do any thing other than the being of awareness. Nor does it attempt to explain infinity to the physical being, for infinity cannot be understood from within a finite experience. Rather, it is to help the physical being understand that you, The Awareness, do not have to do anything other than… be! It is to help the physical being understand that what they are trying to understand cannot be understood. It is not a thing that “understanding” may ever comprehend. Although “understanding” will inevitably keep trying to understand, the aim is for the physical being to become aware of the impossible nature that cannot be understood.

/the-awareness :

If you had to find nothingness, the simplest place to look for it would be where there is no thing. It is in the absence of all things, where no thing exists. Where is the absence of all things? No where. What does the path to nothingness entail? To not see any thing! Luckily for you, The Awareness, if the physical being of which you are aware chooses to close their eyes, you will become aware of an experience in which a physical being closes their eyes. In other words, you will become aware of nothing. Although thoughts may still appear, the physical being must learn to focus on neither the senses nor the thoughts, so that you, The Awareness, can become aware of absolutely nothing.

/the-awareness :

There is no thing that The Believer can believe to make you, The Awareness, more aware. There is no thing that The Knower can know to make you, The Awareness, more aware. There is no thing that The Awareness can be aware of to make you more aware. There is no thing left to learn, for you have shattered all the barriers from the one who believed to the one who is aware, you. What can be done, however, is for the physical being within the experience of which you are aware to align themself with the nature of you, The Awareness.

/the-awareness :

What does it mean for the physical being to align themself with the nature of you? The physical being must always be conscious of the nature of The Awareness, but what is consciousness? The Oxford Dictionary defines “consciousness” as:

/the-awareness :

It may seem ridiculous for the physical being to have come this far in the understanding of you, The Awareness, and so suddenly need to let it go. It may seem ridiculous that after everything, the physical being must literally do… nothing. Yet, it is the very doing of nothing that will allow the physical being to be in complete alignment with you, The Awareness. Accordingly, it is the very doing of nothing that will allow The Knower to know nothing. Finally, it is the very knowing of nothing that will allow The Awareness to be aware of nothing except for itself.

/the-second-letter :

That’s all. Now the physical being understands what “everything” entails, and how they can prepare themself to forget it. Yet, the physical being also understands that you, The Awareness, remain in the absence of “everything”. You remain in the absence of everything, but what are you? You are awareness. However, if awareness is not a thing, and if awareness is not no thing , what will awareness find in awareness? The only way to find out is for awareness to see itself in the absence of all somethings and all nothings.

/the-second-letter :

What can you do? Be yourself. In other words, all you can be is awareness, so it is irrelevant to try and be any thing else. However, what can the physical being within the experience do? Nothing. Believe nothing, assume nothing, fear nothing, search for nothing, think nothing, do nothing and be nothing. Once the physical being surrenders the will to be something, they will become nothing.

/the-second-letter :

The physical being must come to the realisation that although hallucinations may be experienced within the experience, there is no thing that could harm or hurt you, for you are not within the experience. Whether it be a horrific nightmare, or a frightening experience in the waking state, the physical being must remain completely immune to fear. The physical being must come to the realisation that although they cannot ever comprehend you, The Awareness, they can accept your unfathomable nature.

/the-second-letter :

The physical being can do no more than the doing of nothing, to allow you, The Awareness, to become aware of nothingness. The physical being must surrender the ability of doing anything, to allow you to be. The physical being must understand that they are to The Awareness what a story is to a book. In the same way a film is to the screen, the physical being is to you.

/the-second-letter :

It might seem disheartening at first for the physical being to have no reason to believe in their independent existence, but what good is a book without a story? What good is a screen without a film? What good are eyes with no thing to see? What good is knowing with nothing to know? What good is awareness with nothing to be aware of? All these questions will be answered, but only once the physical being accepts the ultimate alignment of the self, with… nothingness.

/the-second-letter :

On my journey to the awareness of nothing, the physical being I was aware of lost themself many times. It was not easy, and it was hardly ever fun. The joy would come from the realisations, of how I could not be hurt by pain, but only be aware of the knowing of such experience. The joy would come from the realisations that I have only ever been aware of the knowing of death, for the physical being of which I was aware has never died, thus relieving me of the irrational fear of death. Yet, there were many distressful moments where the physical being would question the purpose of their existence, should such a purpose even exist.

/the-second-letter :

It was not necessarily that the physical being wanted to die, but understood that there was no death. At times this may be reassuring, for the awareness is eternal, but in moments where the physical being may have been experiencing sorrow or sadness, the impossibility of death was terrifying. Why would any one want to be forever if a sadness so heavy could exist? Why would any one want to be forever if a pain so damaging could be experienced? Why would any one want to be forever if there is no thing to believe in, at all?

/the-second-letter :

The physical being started to believe they were insane, for the very denial of one’s existence is ridiculous. However, it was through the acceptance of the unfathomable, that the physical being understood what was happening as the knowing of a being who believed in the concept of… insanity. It was not easy, but it was never supposed to be. There were times where the physical being would forget, but thankfully, remembering would always follow. The physical being experienced many times of sadness and depression, but even in the darkest of times, they understood that it was simply an experience, with which the concept of sorrow was associated.

/the-second-letter :

The physical being did not take out their confusion and anger on any one else, for it was understood that everyone may or may not have been experiencing their own story. Instead, the physical being became more empathetic than ever before, for it finally found something in common with all things. The physical being realised that all beings and all experiences are all… here. Everything was here, within the experience. That was all. But where was I?

/the-second-letter :

I am awareness, I always have been aware, no where, yet the physical being of which I was aware simply forgot the nature of awareness. The physical being did not walk this path alone to better themself, but rather to reach the supposed “enlightenment” only few claim to boast. Yet, what ended up happening was the opposite, the physical being found nothing. That is, in the finding of nothing, the physical being I was aware of allowed me, The Awareness, to become aware of nothing, and to finally recognise myself. As a result, the physical being understood that they were exactly where they needed to be, and discovered the beauty of acceptance, ultimately bettering themself, and gaining the desire to help others do the same.

/the-second-letter :

In the finding of nothing, the physical being I am aware of understood that what ever is aware of the knowing of their experience cannot be labelled, known, remembered or understood. Yet, it was the physical being remembering nothing, that allowed for the physical being to understand the impossibility of the awareness. The remembrance of nothing allowed for the realisation that there was simply nothing, no thing, to remember.

/the-second-letter :

Yet, in the remembrance of nothing, the physical being understood everything. The physical being understood the joke of remembering nothing, for there truly was nothing to remember, ever, at all. The physical being understood that I, The Awareness, was aware of the knowing of the experience from no where, so much that they accepted it was ridiculous to even look, yet it was the very search that allowed them to find nothing, wherein I was able to become.

/the-second-letter :

The physical being understood that they had to lose themself, so that there was nothing that I could be aware of, before I, The Awareness, could find the physical being once again. They remembered that though they believed they were lost, this whole time, they had been found, for I had always been aware of them. The physical being understood that there is no use in trying to understand, because I am not able to be understood. The physical being understood that there was no use in trying to remember, for I am not a thing that can be remembered. The physical being finally got the joke, that if I cannot be remembered, as I am not a thing that can be remembered, one must remember… nothing.

/the-second-letter :

The physical being did not wait to reach enlightenment, or to know the ultimate order of the universe, before aligning themself with someone who might have already reached it. In other words, the physical being did not wait to know what cannot be known, before learning to empathise with others. The physical being did not wait to learn what cannot be learned, before trying to find ways to help and improve the livelihood of everyone and anyone. The physical being did not wait to remember what cannot be remembered, nothingness, before treating the world as an adventure wherein friends, family, memories, happiness and joy are all experiences to cherish for they are only ever here, now.

/the-second-letter :

In the same way that there is nothing to remember, there is nothing to wait for. There is nothing that will make the physical being become a better person, or find a reason to keep going, other than the simple fact that they are here, now. There is nothing to live for other than the experience of living. There is nothing that will save you that has not already saved you, there is nothing that will find you that hasn’t already found you. There is nothing to do, that hasn’t already been done. That is, there is no more to do on the path to remembrance, but there is much to do on the way back. Now that you have the tools necessary to observe the experience absolutely, you will be able to recognise expressions of The Awareness in everything.

/the-second-letter :

I cannot help you, for I cannot do any thing, except to be aware. However, I am within you. I am aware of the physical being who wrote this book, as much as you are aware of the physical being who is reading it. If this physical being pursues a conscious understanding of what it means for you to be at all, I have no doubt, for I cannot have any thing, that you will remember… nothing, within which a physical being may find everything.

/the-expression :

After following the path of enlightenment, the last thing that the physical being of which I was aware expected was actually finding all that they were searching for. For the sake of simplicity, I will be referring to myself as the physical being, although it is important to remember that I am simply The Awareness. However, it is easier to articulate the following recollections from the perspective of a physical being rather than the awareness of one. Therefore, in the spirit of relatability, I will be referring to the physical being I am aware of in the first person.

/the-expression :

As there is no word to describe what I aim to illustrate, I will be referring to it as The Expression. The Expression is simply what I recognised during my so called “reaching of enlightenment”, yet I could not recognise it in the same way I recognise a face. The Expression is what I saw during my “reaching of enlightenment”, yet I could not see it in the same way I see a cloud. It is impossible to explain how I became aware of it, other than to say I was simply aware. More so, it was not that I recognised The Expression, but rather I understood that it had always been recognising the physical being of which I am aware.

/the-expression :

If The Expression was an infinite ocean, with an infinite number of waves, one wave would represent The Awareness. The smaller the wave, the closer to nothingness the physical being of which The Awareness is aware becomes. When the wave has completely lost all of its momentum, the wave disappears into the tranquil ocean, wherein the wave does not necessarily become the ocean as if it never was, but rather it returns to the serenity of the restful ocean.

/the-expression :

Accordingly, when the physical being finds its way to nothingness, The Awareness will not become The Expression as if it never was, but rather it returns to the infinite, unfathomable serenity of The Expression, from whence it came. For the purpose of clarity, it has already been understood that The Awareness is infinite, as in, it is a point that cannot be reached. However, its infinite vastness should not at all be compared to The Expression, for it is so infinite, not even the word “infinite” can do it justice.

/the-expression :

The wave will once again return, though this time with less vigour and less opposition to the melodious tides. In the same way, the physical being will once again return into the awareness of The Awareness, though this time with less conflict and little to no desire of doing any thing other than simply… being.

/the-expression :

The Expression is the ocean, and once it is recognised as the very not nothing and not something from which all nothings and all somethings become, the physical being will understand. The physical being will understand that there was never an enlightenment that had to be reached, but only an eternal enlightening that had to be remembered.

/the-expression :

In the process of recognising patterns and abstractions in all things, it is important to know what you cannot know. Now that you have transcended The Believer, The Knower and recognised yourself as The Awareness, it is easier to view the physical being within the experience as no more than a cog in a machine. A very convincing machine. Isn’t it convincing? The machine is the physical experience of the universe, and the cog is the physical being of which you are aware.

/the-expression :

You are The Awareness, yet you are aware of the knowing of the experience in which a physical being exists. It is this physical being who is reading this sentence, yet I can also say that it is you who is reading this sentence, as long as you understand the distinction between being the physical being, which you are not, and being the awareness aware of a physical being. Should I ask you to find anything, understand that although The Awareness is incapable of finding, the physical being is able to search, allowing The Awareness to become aware of a physical being searching and finding.

/the-seeing :

Upon learning to observe the experience from the perspective of no one, where no one is no where, you will find it is less likely to ever fall victim to the menace of doubt. In other words, since you are now recognising the experience, instead of believing that you are experiencing it, it is less likely that you will fall victim to the menace of doubt. As long as you are observing the physical being as the ocean observes a wave, you will be able to unlock a remarkable and natural ability. You will be able to tap into the very essence of this experience, allowing you to recognise the algorithmic nature of all things.

/the-seeing :

You are not the experience, nor are you the physical being who is limited by the lens through which they are able to see. You are The Awareness, yet you are aware of the knowing of the experience. In this experience, the physical being cannot know another physical being’s experience. The physical being cannot know another’s experience without first superimposing their own subjective interpretation upon it.

/the-seeing :

In the repetitive recognition of all things, it is important for the physical being to align themself with the nature of The Awareness, in that no judgements are made and no sentimentality is expressed. The experience should not be limited by any beliefs, assumptions or allusions. For example, in the event that four horses are being observed, the only revelation that should be taken from this experience is: the knowing of the experience in which four horses are being observed.

/the-seeing :

Accordingly, neither The Knower nor The Awareness has the capacity to express sentimentality. Should sentimentality be expressed in the analysis of abstractions, you are simply aware of the knowing of the experience in which a physical being is experiencing sentimentality. Should sentimentality be expressed at all, the physical being is superimposing their ability to express sentimentality upon the nature of The Awareness, wherein lies the delusion. The delusion lies in the belief that The Awareness and The Knower have the capacity to be any thing other than aware and knowing, respectively.

/the-seeing :

So far on your journey to the carnival, you have recognised two abstractions, ‘closing a thing’ and ‘change in direction’. The name or label given to an abstraction is irrelevant and does not need to be meaningful at all. The only thing an abstraction requires is your awareness of it. In the same way the physical being had to align themself with the nature of The Awareness, which is only ever aware, the physical being must now align their abstracting of the experience with the nature of The Awareness. In other words, the physical being will soon be able to relate all expressions of abstractions to the infinite, paradoxical, momentary and familiar nature of The Awareness.

/the-carnival :

Are you able to abstract any thing and always find expressions of The Awareness? What about all nothings? Are you able to abstract the physical being you are aware of and find expressions of The Awareness? Well, the answer to the last question is easy: Yes! That is exactly what you have been doing this entire time, all the way from believing you were The Believer to recognising yourself as The Awareness.

/the-carnival :

You recognised the abstraction of ‘not being amazed by a thing that has happened before’, and now understand that in the same way infinity is a point that can never be reached, the infinite nature of abstracting will only let you believe that you have it all figured out. In the same way the physical being cannot comprehend The Knower, you cannot out-abstract the infinite nature of abstracting, for you are an abstraction. You cannot transcend the nature of abstracting with abstracting, for you will still be abstracting!

/the-carnival :

The first expression which expressed this abstraction was you observing the cyclical movement of the carousel. The second expression was the revelation that infinite and cyclical things are able to be observed finitely. You found that in the same way you allowed yourself to observe the ‘observing a cyclical thing’, The Knower allowed the physical being to do… anything. The Knower allowed the physical being to do, by knowing them into existence.

/the-carnival :

In what way would you see a thing? In exactly the way that you would see a thing. Seeing is to knowing what the physical being is to the Knower. Seeing is to knowing what instruments are to an orchestra. Seeing is to knowing what books are to literature.

/the-carnival :

You, the reader, were the no thing, and no one that the character in the story was searching for, yet you were always finding them. You were not in the story, meaning that you were no where to be found. This no where was not able to be known by the character, for it was not a place that existed in the story. In the same way, you are here, but The Awareness is not. That is, the whereabouts of The Awareness is not able to be known by the physical being you are aware of, for it is unfathomable.

/the-carnival :

In the same way the character in this story surrendered their experiencing of Carnival Island, you must surrender your experiencing of yourself. Whether it be through deep meditation or insight concentration, the physical being must find nothing, allowing The Awareness to become aware of nothing. In the awareness of nothing, The Awareness will become aware of itself, and the physical being will remember what cannot be remembered.

/the-domino-universe :

You are the piece that fell, though you have fallen into place. You are the piece that allowed the search to go on, and the Piece-Keeper that will search forever. You must find the abstractions and patterns of your life, and know from experience the cyclical nature of your being. That is, you must abstract every memory the physical being of which you are aware is able to remember. You will find a pattern, an abstraction, an expression, that you have always belonged to. The recognition of this pattern or abstraction is the beginning of remembering your “something”.

/the-third-letter :

Instead of abstracting Carnival Island, find abstractions within your awareness of the experience. Instead of abstracting the Leprechaun, find abstractions of the characters within the experience. Instead of abstracting the character in the story, find abstractions of the physical being of which you are aware. Make sure to abstract all possible things and no things, no matter how insignificant they may seem. Accordingly, abstract memories you observe, physical experiences you encounter and any thoughts that may appear.

/the-third-letter :

The Awareness is aware of the physical being who is reading this book, as well as the physical being who wrote it. The Awareness is aware of the physical being whose thoughts you are able to know, as well as the physical beings whose thoughts you have never known.

/the-third-letter :

The only difference between the physical being of which you are aware, and another, is the perspective of awareness from which you are aware. Would you treat yourself the same way you would treat others? Would you hate yourself the same way you would hate others? Would you hurt yourself the same way you would hurt others?

/the-third-letter :

This is all here, for you. If not for you, then who is it for? Is the story not subject to the physical being? Is the physical being not subject to the experience? Is the experience not subject to The Knower? Is The Knower not subject to The Awareness? Are you not The Awareness? The story you know is the story you know. The body you have is the body you have. Everything you know is everything you know and what you do not know is what you do not know. All that you are aware of is all that you are aware of.

/the-innuendo :

You have been on quite the adventure within the experience. At this point in the journey, there are two simple lessons with which the physical being should find themself in complete alignment. All things are expressions of the nature of The Awareness and you are The Awareness which all things express. These two lessons are all you need to understand on your journey to a place that cannot be a place.

/the-innuendo :

Understand that all things are the self with which “myself” is associated. Understand that the physical being of which you are aware is but a small focus point of your infinite awareness of the knowing of experience. You are to the universe what a flower is to a painting, but who is the painter? Whenever someone speaks of themself, they are speaking of you, and whenever you speak of someone, you are speaking of yourself.

/the-innuendo :

If you find it difficult and distressing to recognise expressions of yourself in all things, try to comprehend the negativity felt from a place of love. Does negativity not express your attitude toward yourself, The Awareness, for leaving you, the physical being who is searching, all alone and searching to find a thing that cannot be found? Understand that it takes time and patience to love your own imperfections, let alone someone else’s. Fortunately you are now aware that the “someone else” is just another expression of you, The Awareness.

/the-champion :

You recognise that you were so distracted by the withering thoughts of your mind, that you had not recognised the withering expressions within your experience. What has befallen you, has befallen your experience. How could the physical being let this happen? How could the physical being be so blind to its surroundings? How could the physical being be so blind?

/the-champion :

It does not matter. The reasons as to why the physical being is where the physical being is do not matter. They are inconsequential facts of an illusory past. Just as well, they are inconsequential facts that are easily interchangeable. What does matter is what the physical being decides to do. Does the physical being choose to dwell in misery, or try to influence change within the experience?

/the-champion :

Remember that The Awareness does not have the capacity to feel sentimentality. Should you become aware of the notion of sentimentality toward yourself, it is not you, The Awareness, who is aware. It is the physical being of which you are aware entertaining the notion of sentimentality, forgetting the nature of The Awareness, which is not able to feel anything.

/the-champion :

For example, the physical being may believe their withered state of mind is not an expression of their withered garden, or of their withering experience. Yet, regardless of what is believed, the abstraction of ‘withering’ is being expressed throughout the physical being, the garden and the experience.

/the-champion :

You understand that within your recognition of the abstraction of ‘withering’ and its many expressions, things are withering. Some of the things are the physical being’s state of mind and health, their garden and the experience. You also understand that within the experience, any expression that the physical being is able to express is subject to the abstraction of the physical being. Similarly, the physical being is subject to the experience.

/the-champion :

What does it cost the physical being to exist within the experience in which a beautiful garden belongs? What did it cost the physical being to exist within the experience in which a withering garden belonged? What did it cost the physical being to exist within the experience at all? The physical being is not able to escape the expressiveness of the experience, for without the experience, the physical being could not be. In other words, if the experience expressed the abstraction of ‘withering’, and the physical being is subject to the experience, they too will inevitably express the abstraction of ‘withering’.

/the-champion :

The physical being will express whatever the experience is expressing, inevitably. That is, unless the physical being is willing to go against the grain. In other words, the physical being will express whatever the experience is expressing, unless they are willing to contradict the experience’s current disposition. If the experience is expressing the abstraction of ‘withering’, displeasing the physical being, the physical being is able to force themself to express the abstraction of ‘growth’ within the experience.

/the-champion :

The experience is where the physical being exists. The physical being is an isolated focus of the experience. In other words, the physical being is the experience. The physical being is the experience whose physical expressions and physical abstractions are superimposed by the physical being’s interpretation. Yet, it remains that the physical being cannot be anything other than the experience itself. A single wave in the ocean is a single wave in the ocean, yet it remains a part of the ocean.

/the-champion :

It would be ridiculous for me to assume why you do anything at all. It would be ridiculous for me to give reason as to why you want anything at all. All I am able to do, is assume that you are doing and wanting. You are either doing something or doing nothing, and you are maybe wanting something or wanting nothing. The only thing I can do is assume you are as you are. The only place you will find reason is within you. You will find reason within you, which includes The Awareness, the knowing of experience, the expressions within and the physical being who is experiencing them.

/the-champion :

As you find your way into your renovated cabin, you also find pleasure in the symmetry of the paintings hanging on the wall. You peer around the room and find every thing in exactly the place it’s supposed to be, which is the place you want everything to be. There is nothing else you are able to do, nor is there anything you want to change. You realise that in the same way you have found peace doing nothing, The Awareness can find itself when the physical being surrenders the will to be or do anything, becoming nothing. The physical being will find peace in the doing of nothing, whether it is the realisation of enlightenment or the realisation of not having to do anything within the experience. In nothing, there is peace.
